Everything you need to know before booking
We recommend booking 2–4 weeks in advance for most events. For large-scale fundraisers or corporate events, 6–8 weeks is ideal to give us time to plan all the details. That said, we can sometimes accommodate last-minute requests — just reach out!
Not at all! Most of our event guests are complete beginners. Kerri teaches everything from scratch — the tiles, the rules, the strategy — in a fun, approachable way. By the end, everyone's playing real hands and having a blast.
Just the venue and the guests! Kerri brings all the mahjong equipment — tiles, racks, mats, and official NMJL cards. If you'd like to add food, drinks, or decorations, that's up to you. We're happy to suggest venue ideas if you need one.
Social parties and girls' nights usually run 2–3 hours. Corporate team building events are typically a half day. Large fundraisers can run a full day. Every event is customized to your schedule and group.
The entire SF Bay Area! We're based in Lafayette and regularly host events in Walnut Creek, Concord, Orinda, Moraga, Oakland, San Francisco, and beyond. If you're in the Bay Area, we can make it work.
